“Reality Math”, the prodigy of Dot Sulock of UNCA, seeks to stimulate quantitative and critical reasoning skills in lower level math students. Modules based on energy, environment, finance, health and sports will be presented. These modules are written to be engaging to the student. They can be modified and allow for group activity in the classroom. If you are looking for math 143 labs that stimulate learning and solving real life issues, that involve real numbers from a variety of situations, then it is worth taking a look at reality math.
